USA RADON
People may buy up to 20 cars in their lifetime, and possibly only 1 radon system. Choosing what company to install your system can be somewhat difficult with all the information to consider. Here are the facts regarding radon installation:
1. Michigan Law MCL - Section 339.2403 states that any alteration made to home over $600 MUST be completed by a licensed builder. Period. Don't get confused when people say their company is "certified" That does not mean they are a licensed builder.
2. Regarding "certification" NRPP/AARST/NEHA..etc. These are essentially clubs you can join after you are certitified. These clubs run under an umbrella clause. Example: Any one person that works for the company passes the test, they allow that company to say they are certified. So, essentially, the office person who does data entry goes and passes the test and now the company says "were certified"?!?! You may never see or talk to that person and the people that come out may never have even taken a class let alone got certified themselves. Hence the reason Michigan DOES NOT recognize this as a valid document that would allow them to install a radon system over $600. Be Careful.
